What are Wz files?
These files can store many types of data for MapleStory such as sounds, maps and items.This data can be modified/edited by using different programs.
What is HaCreator?
HaCreator is an editing tool used for only Map.Wz. You can also use Map Editor, but HaCreator has more features available. With this program, you are able to edit the BGM, BG, MiniMap Icon and objects/tiles of a map. Only maps from 910000000 to 910000022 are allowed to be edited. No swim FMs either.
How to start up your HaCreator?
After you have downloaded HaCreator from the link, right-click the file and select where to extract it. When you are done, click on HaCreator and this box should pop up:

What are the main tools for HaCreator and What are they for?
When you opened your HaCreator, you should see this on the top:

- -Cursor: Used for selecting and moving stuff.
-Foot Hold: Used for adding the places where you want your character to step on in the map.
-Portal: Used for adding new portals.
-Chair: Used for making chairs work.
-Ladder/Rope: Used for creating and connecting ladders and ropes.
-Tile: Used for adding floor to your map.
-Object: Used for adding objects to your map.
-Mob: Used for spawning monsters at your map.
-NPC: Used for adding NPCs to your map.
-Reactor: Used for adding reactors to your map.
-Add/Connect: Used for Foot Holds, Chairs, Ladders and Ropes. Add is used to add holds to new places and Connect is to connect those holds.
What are layers for?
On the right of the main tools you should see this:

- Layer 0 is for Trees
Layer 1 is for plants
Layer 2 is for Houses & Buildings
Layer 3 is for Tiles
Layer 4 is for Ropes & Ladders
Layer 5 is for your Character to walk on
Layer 6 is for Portals
Layer 7 is there if you need it
How do I resize the map?
If you want to resize the map, click on 'Tools' to the left of 'Layer' and then on 'Resize Map'. This box should pop up:

How do I save?
When you are done editing your map or you want to save your work, click on 'Tools' and then on 'Save'. This box should pop up:
